Introduction

Voxdergs are kind and fluffy anthropomorphic dragons fused with outdoor warning sirens. Their voices warn the residents of two cities about approaching storms.

They live in a world after global disasters. Humans and dragons built a new order together, and at its center are the Voxdergs — not as soldiers or heroes, but as a reliable part of the rescue system.

Their “home” is the bright ecological city of Shtorm-Harbor.
Their “work” is the harsh city of Thundertown.
Between them lies the sky, the storms, and the lives they protect.

Voxdergs have their own history, their own traits, and even their own legend. The most well-known of them is Johnny — the first one who survived.

This is an open species. You can create your own Voxderg as long as you respect the rules of this world.

The Tale of Saving Humanity (Lore)

If you have the skills, you can rewrite the lore in a more beautiful way.

Part 1: Calamity

July 26, 2341.
A superstorm hits the Atlantic coast for the first time. Category 6 tornadoes and powerful tsunamis wipe out coastal cities. Within a few months, such storms become regular.

July 2342.
An energy crisis begins. Fuel reserves are running out. Local conflicts over resources start in several countries.

February 2343.
People notice a decline in the dragon population. Some suggest that it is caused by the collapse of the ecosystem.

April 2344.
Scientists from different countries begin sharing climate model data. The first signs appear that the storms are being intensified by emissions from thermal power plants.

May 2345.
The major powers sign a "Temporary Truce". Wars stop, but the world remains unstable.

Part 2: Hope

September 12, 2345.
A summit called the "Last Chance Summit" takes place. The leaders of the Hurricane States and the Thunderstorm Federation meet to decide the fate of humanity.
They sign three simple but clear documents: the "Eternal Peace Treaty", the "Agreement on Clean Energy Production", and "Project Voxdergs".
After that, they hear a quiet voice: "Wise decision, mortals". No one is nearby. At first they think it is a hallucination caused by fatigue, but later everyone starts to think otherwise.

Part 3: New World

All available resources are directed toward designing and building reactors and cities.

January 2346.
Construction of the "Protector-1" reactor begins. The coast of the Hurricane States is chosen as the location. It is later named Shtorm-Harbor. A city for workers and engineers is built together with the reactor.

March 2346.
Construction of the "Protector-2" reactor begins. The northern part of the Thunderstorm Federation is chosen as the location. It is later named Thundertown. For safety, the city is designed as a polar superfortress.

To warn people about storms, scientists remember the old technology of sirens. They decide to take the sirens off their poles and make them alive.

Part 4: "Palladium" Experiments

October 2346.
The "Palladium" laboratory is founded. Its goal is to turn living beings into a warning system. After successful tests on mannequins, the scientists decide to look for living dragons.

March 2347 – March 2348.
The scientists make 44 attempts. They experiment with implant configurations, wiring, and new components. These experiments are cruel — none of the 44 dragons survive. Each dead dragon is named after a chemical element according to its atomic number. (Periodic Table)

May 15, 2348.
Attempt No. 45. This time a dragon comes to the laboratory on his own. It becomes the first successful experiment. The implants work properly. They name him Johnny and also give him the secret name Palladium-45.

June – September 2348.
Attempts No. 46–51. All of them are successful. The decision is made to begin serial production.

October 2348.
The “Palladium” laboratory is officially closed. Johnny and the other survivors are allowed to visit the laboratory. Engineers develop a way to create a Voxderg “from scratch.”

Part 5: The First Voxderg

January 11, 2349.
A siren sounds over Shtorm-Harbor. It is Module — a newly completed Voxderg who has just opened her eyes. A new naming system is introduced: the name of a regular siren model plus the next available number. Module becomes “Modulator-1” and is also given the final secret name “Tellurium-52.”

February – December 2349.
Serial production of Voxdergs begins. Module is found to have a configuration bug that allows her to sense Johnny from a distance.

March 2350.
Construction of Shtorm-Harbor is completed. The "Protector-1" reactor starts operating in the ecological city.

June 2350.
Construction of Thundertown is completed. The "Protector-2" reactor starts operating in the polar superfortress.

January 2351.
A proposal to build the "Protector-3" reactor in Belobyl, in the center of the Abnormal Republic, is accepted. Construction begins, but many people feel uneasy.

October 2352.
Construction of the reactor is stopped because of anomalies. Johnny decides to destroy the reactor.

November 2352.
Belobyl is declared an exclusion zone. People and furries leave the city.

Part 6: Present Day

2353 – 2356.
An era of stability begins. Everyone adapts to the new world. Voxdergs establish a “Home–Work” system between Shtorm-Harbor and Thundertown. New professions and hobbies appear, including stalking. The cities begin to flourish.

April 6, 2356.
The present day.

Everything is fine. And it will be fine.

Cities

City 1: Shtorm-Harbor

The name is read the same way in Russian and English.

A beautiful city in an ecological cyberpunk style, located on the coast of the Hurricane States. The buildings are made of white concrete and glass, with steel structures. There are many parks and a lot of nature in the city. Solar panels are installed on the rooftops.

The "Protector-1" reactor operates in Shtorm-Harbor, located location not specified yet of the city. The city also has a Voxdergs headquarters, the "Amper Industries" battery factory, recreation and cultural facilities, and the rest of the city's infrastructure.

City 2: Thundertown (Gromgrad)

The name "Gromgrad" is used in the Russian version.
The name is a reference to the real American B-29 Superfortress aircraft used after World War II. More info
Real Superfortress

A harsh Soviet-style city located inside a superfortress in the northern part of the Thunderstorm Federation. The buildings are made of gray granite and special glass, with steel structures. All parks are enclosed in sealed domes, and northern mosses and lichens grow inside them. Equipment stands on the balconies, and some also have a broken machine gun as a memorial. Radars and wind turbines are installed on the towers.

The "Protector-2" reactor operates in Thundertown, located location not specified yet of the city. The city also has a Voxdergs headquarters, the "Volt rus" battery factory, recreation and cultural facilities, and the rest of the city's infrastructure.

Some images of Thundertown:

City 3: Belobyl

An abandoned ghost town located in the center of the Abnormal Republic. The buildings are made of white concrete and glass, with steel structures, but they are damaged by time and radiation. The parks and streets are contaminated, but nature remains. Most roofs are destroyed, and radiation equipment is scattered across the ones that remain.

The "Protector-3" reactor partially operates in Belobyl, located location not specified yet of the city. The city also has (but does not use) a Voxdergs headquarters, recreation and cultural facilities, the "Duga-2" radar antenna, and the rest of the city's infrastructure.

Some images of Belobyl:
I only have AI images. I don't want to show them. Write to me if you really want to see them.

Plan (top view) of Belobyl:
No plan yet

Yes, Belobyl is a reference to Chernobyl and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game series.
There will be no city plans in the near future. You can suggest your own versions of the plans.

Connections Between Cities

The cities have three types of connections: energy, information, and transport.

Energy

Instead of regular power lines, laser versions are installed near the reactors. A modified Wardenclyffe Tower is located at the edge of each continent. Perhaps all the towers are aimed at the megastructure in the center of the world.

Approximate appearance of the power networks:
I only have an AI image. I don't want to show it. Write to me if you really want to see it.

Information

The cities use the "VoxNet" satellite network to exchange information. Transmitters and receivers are located on the rooftops of buildings and built into Voxderg equipment. A quantum internet is available for emergencies.

Approximate appearance of the transmitters:
I only have an AI image. I don't want to show it. Write to me if you really want to see it.

The "VoxNet" network has no relation to Elon Musk’s real-life "Starlink".

Transport

For cargo in the air, electromagnetic catapults (mass drivers) are used. Each city has two catapults — one for receiving and one for sending. The catapults are aimed at each other or at the megastructure in the center of the world.

For people in the air, the Voxdergs themselves are used. They don’t mind carrying people to other cities on their backs or in their paws.

If the creator of the Airplane Dragons doesn’t mind, they will also be used.

For cargo on the ground, an underground jet train is used. The train is fast enough and can transport large amounts of cargo.

For people on the ground, the metro is used. In Belobyl the metro is contaminated, but stalkers still use it.

Yes, this is a reference to the Metro game series and the novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky.

Approximate view of the transport networks:
The image of the electromagnetic catapult is taken from Wikipedia. The other images are either hard to find or don't exist at all.

Electromagnetic catapult

Biology and Body Structure

Skeleton and Bone System

Voxderg bones are technically wires. Conductive channels run inside the bones. These channels are covered with biological insulation, which also serves as the periosteum.

Flight

Weakened versions of ion thrusters that use air ionization technology are installed on Voxderg wings. To take off from the ground, a Voxderg runs, jumps, and activates the thrusters at the same time. To accelerate from height, a Voxderg dives downward to gain speed and activates the thrusters at the right moment.

Yes, this is a reference to Airplane Dragons.

Food

In addition to regular food, Voxdergs can eat batteries and other power sources. For them, batteries have their own tastes, energy value, and characteristics. It is something like energy drinks for humans.

DO NOT EAT BATTERIES IN REAL LIFE!

Electrical Parts and Mechanisms

Voxdergs have several electrical mechanisms.

When a Voxderg is petted on the head or cheeks, static electricity is generated and directed into the general power grid.

A Voxderg can make an emergency discharge by releasing lightning from its claws. The lightning is usually aimed at the ground, but there can be exceptions.

Discharge is never used as a weapon. Never.

Some Voxdergs can charge from lightning using lightning rods installed instead of horns and connected to the general power grid.

Whether a Voxderg has lightning rods or not is up to you.

Voxdergs have accumulators, one in each thigh. They store all the energy from the power grid. Early prototypes had a mini-reactor instead of accumulators.

The placement of the accumulators can be changed as desired. The mini-reactor was only used in prototypes and is not used in production models.

Under the fur of Voxdergs are installed Peltier elements. They generate energy from the temperature difference between the cold inner body and warm hugs.

Claws

Voxderg claws are metallic and can conduct electricity. They are used for discharge, as a tool, or as a medical defibrillator.

Claws are never used as a weapon. Never.

Wings

Voxderg wings are hybrid. The wing skeleton is made of bones like a dragon’s, but with some fur. Flexible solar panels connected to the general power grid serve as the membrane.

Subspecies

Voxdergs are divided into two subspecies depending on the siren technology they use. This division is not strict — it is based more on capabilities and sound (and a little on appearance).

Air Blowers

Air Blowers (short form: "Blowers" or "AB") use a mechanical siren. A motor spins a rotor turbine that passes air through itself, creating a sound similar to a siren.

Electromagnetic Screechers

Electromagnetic Screechers (short form: "Screechers" or "ES") use an electronic siren. A recording of high-frequency sounds is fed into a speaker. When the frequency is chosen correctly, it sounds like a siren.

No images yet. They will be added when I find an artist (or when the neural network finally understands what sirens look like).
I decided not to add hybrids. This division is enough.

Appearance

General Appearance

Voxdergs are anthropomorphic fluffy (sometimes kemono) dragons with technological implants.

Mandatory Detail

Every character must have at least one appearance or anatomy element that directly references a real siren. Examples include:

Clothing

Voxderg clothing is a functional and stylish hybrid of work gear. The fabric is comfortable and does not restrict movement. Pockets are common. Main colors are neutral and can follow the chosen color scheme.

Clothing must not be military (including tactical), aggressive, or fetishistic.

Examples

No images yet. I will add them when I find an artist.

Important Character

Who He Is

Technically he is Palladium-46, the first successful experiment of the “Palladium” laboratory in creating a Voxderg. In reality he is Johnny Fluffypaw, the creator’s fursona (mine).

Story

If you have the skills, you can write this story more beautifully.

...events of the main lore, Last Chance Summit...

Immediately after signing “Project Voxdergs,” the scientists of the “Palladium” laboratory began developing designs and studying possible solutions. They brought in wounded and sick dragons for the first experiments, hoping that the implants would also heal them. For secrecy, all early experiments were named after chemical elements by atomic number (the first was Hydrogen-1).

During the first 45 attempts the scientists experimented with different implant configurations. Unfortunately, none of the first 45 dragons survived. But number 46 stayed alive. The scientists were shocked. He was the first Voxderg. Since he did not remember his real name, he kept the name Palladium-46.

The scientists made three more attempts. All of them were also successful. After that they handed the designs and data over to production engineers. The engineers decided to use both hatchlings and surviving adult dragons.

Some time later an electronic siren sounded over Shtorm-Harbor. It was the voice of Module — a newly finished Voxderg. The engineers introduced a new naming pattern: (siren name)-(number). Module became Modulator-1, and she was also given the experimental name Tin-50.

...continuation of the main lore events...

Reference Sheet

No reference sheet yet. I will add it when I find an artist.

Personality

He is a melancholic pragmatist. He does not rush or pick fights. He does everything quietly and without unnecessary words, and can answer quite coldly if someone offends him. He is a little tired of life, but he has his own sense of humor. Calm, reliable, solitary, and kind in his own way.

Connection with Module

This connection is not biological but technical. Module received (yes, she is “she”) the same configuration settings as Johnny, which caused some biometric and sensory data to be duplicated. Now they can sense each other at a distance. Most often it feels like “someone is nearby,” even when they are in different cities.

What He Does Now

Johnny sits on rooftops watching sunsets or walks around Belobyl, waiting for someone to take a Voxderg as their fursona… Okay, that’s a joke. He looks for those who need help and helps them.

Culture and Activities

Professions

Voxdergs do not really “work” in the usual sense. Their participation in the life of the world is voluntary and based on their unique abilities.

Main professions:

"Home – Work"

The lifestyle of Voxdergs is built around this idea. Home is Shtorm-Harbor, where they live, recover their strength, communicate with people and other furry species, and pursue hobbies and creative work. Work is Thundertown, where they perform their duties, monitor the reactor, and take part in construction and technical projects.

Relationships with People and Other Species

With people:

With other furry species:

Crossovers and combinations are allowed (for example Voxderg + Protogen or Voxderg + Airplane Dragon), but first ask permission from me and from the author of the other species.

Stalker Voxdergs

A special group of Voxdergs who are drawn to Belobyl are called stalkers. Some of them are researchers, some are artifact collectors, and some are simply adventurers. They wear old, worn clothes, often with elements of protective gear, respirators or gas masks, and bags for artifacts or spare batteries. They are treated with respect — they are not outcasts, but former engineers or researchers.

Hobbies

Voxdergs have many hobbies connected to their abilities or professions.

Among them: music, radio broadcasting, streaming, piloting, collecting, stalking, engineering, and reading.

Rules and Laws

Voxdergs are an open furry species. You do not need my permission to create a fursona. It is enough to follow the Rules, Laws, and IMPORTANT LAWS below.

I may change these rules without prior notice.

Rules

The Rules apply to everyone. If the rules are broken, the character is not considered a Voxderg (including “illegal” ones).

Lore:

  1. There are no wars, aggression, or cruelty in this world. Small everyday conflicts are allowed.
  2. A Voxderg’s voice is never used as a weapon.
  3. There is no need to look for connections between this world and the real world. This universe has no relation to reality.

Anatomy:

  1. Claws or the discharge mechanism are never used as a weapon.

Appearance:

  1. All Voxdergs are fluffy. They do not have scales.
  2. The manufacturer’s logo must be visible.
  3. No banned symbols, patterns, or text.
  4. No symbols, patterns, or text that promote political, racial, religious, or any other kind of hate.
  5. No symbols, patterns, or text that call for war, terrorism, crime, or similar things.
  6. No military (including tactical), aggressive, or fetish clothing.

Laws

The Laws include the Rules and serve as guidelines for more creative people who want to offer ideas or create animations, models, stories, or simply talk about Voxdergs to an audience larger than 1000 people.

Lore:

  1. No global disasters or wars. Local everyday incidents without casualties are allowed.
  2. Voxdergs are equals with humans and other furry species.
  3. The death of a Voxderg is not allowed.
  4. The origin of Voxdergs is described in the lore. Any other origin is considered non-canon.

Anatomy:

  1. Hybrids with humans are not allowed.
  2. Reproduction of Voxdergs is not allowed.
  3. I do not recommend turning a Voxderg into a “coat rack” of implants. It would be excessive.
  4. Using a height below 170 cm / 5'7" or above 220 cm / 7'3" must be justified.

Appearance:

  1. Using AI to create a character is allowed.
  2. Try to use fewer dark colors.
  3. Hiding the face must be justified.
  4. Voxderg ion thrusters are intentionally weakened. Using full-power versions must be justified.

IMPORTANT LAWS

The IMPORTANT LAWS include the Laws and are absolute. Breaking them will result in a request to remove the content or a report against the user.

NO NSFW OR FETISH CONTENT! Completely forbidden:

  1. Sexualized images of Voxdergs, including genitals.
  2. Any form of any fetish, including but not limited to: vore, macro, inflation, growth, transformation, hypno.
  3. Hints of intimate relationships with sexual undertones.
  4. Pornography, erotica, BDSM, and any other 18+ content involving Voxdergs.

This world was created to be kind and safe. This is its fundamental trait.

Separation of Canon and Non-Canon

Because the furry fandom contains 18+ content, a separation is proposed.

Canon Voxdergs that follow the rules may use logos and trademarks and are considered part of the official world.

Non-canon Voxdergs that use 18+ content or break the rules may not use logos, names, or references to the canon.

Mandatory rules for non-canon Voxdergs: clear labeling as “non-canon” or “AU”, and no logos or trademarks. If a character breaks the rules while still using the canon, the author reserves the right to:

I do not want to forbid your creativity. But I want my world to remain the way I intended it. If you want to use Voxdergs in an 18+ context — do it. But do not call them Voxdergs in the canonical sense. Create your own alternative universe and live in it. We will live in ours. The world is big enough for everyone.

Species created: March 5, 2026
Canon version: 0.3.4

From Me

I created this species because I wanted to contribute something to the furry community. A world without cruelty and constant problems, where Voxdergs are not weapons or superheroes, but simply a reliable part of the rescue system. A world you want to believe in.
This is the first time I am creating something this big, so I want to thank everyone who helped me with advice and ideas.
The species is open because the world becomes more alive when it is filled with different characters and different stories. I do not want to limit other people’s creativity, but I ask you to follow the rules above. They exist not to forbid, but to preserve the original kindness of this utopian world.
Thank you for your interest in my species. Create with joy and respect the work of others.

Concept and Usage

Voxdergs are an open furry species. You can create a fursona without the creator’s permission, but please follow the “Rules and Laws”.
Commercial use is only allowed with the creator’s permission.
